We thought it would be both fun and informative to show some authentic Tibetan paintings of animals as they occur on various pieces of furniture and on individual panels. We've collected these paintings from pieces we presently have in stock. This is by no means comprehensive. We left out many creatures, especially birds. We could do an entire gallery of birds alone as they are one of the most popular decorative motifs.

Some of the paintings shown here are fragments of larger pieces while others are entire pieces unto themselves. They were found on cabinet doors, boxes large and small, thorgums, tables, and from panels used in monasteries. As can be seen from the photographs, these animal paintings can be fanciful, quite realistic, or a blend of the two.
