Tibetan Textiles and Apparel
We've gone through our collection of Tibetan textiles and selected a variety of
different pieces to present here with large size images.
The photograph to the right shows an arrangement of a few of these pieces.
Clockwise from the pair of tooled leather boots with red liners, a small blue
seating carpet, a woman's wool robe, an official's round hat, and two different
decorative nose pieces for horses. The box on which these items are displayed
shows the typical textile pattern of early 17th c. Tibetan painted boxes. A
similar textile design can be seen on the top of item #16623 in the individual
the textile photos which follow.
