16623 Silk brocade Tibetan throne back. Probably 19th century production made from 17th C. fragments, padded with wooland backed with early Indian trade cotton. Some damage - visible in photograph. 19.5 x 33 inches. Note the top section: 14/15th C. kati rimo brocade of the same design as used in many Tibetan storage boxes.
