14526
Large fragment from Tibetan official's chupa. Chinese embroidered silk, 18th century. Worn condition with damage mostly to couched threads of the dragons. 56" top to bottom, 46" width at bottom. To give an idea of the camera angle, the dark background is rectangular and the photograph was shot from the bottom. Thus the piece is considerably foreshortened.
