The Nagas comprise a group of related tribes of people who occupy the hilly
lands along the border of India and Burma south of Tibet and the eastern
reaches of the Himalayas. Until quite recent times they were famous for their
practices of headhunting and feast-giving and for their rich material culture.
An excellent source of more information on the Nagas can be found in
The Nagas, Hill Peoples of Northeast India
by Julian Jacobs, et al. Most of the items displayed here can be found in
this very comprehensive book.
We've divided our Naga items into a page of Naga jewelry and this page we're
calling Naga artifacts, which presents basically everything we have but their
jewelry and textiles. A price list for the items on this page is available
upon request.
